Grace L. Holmberg

Grace L. Holmberg, age 96, of Mound, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
Funeral Service was held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown Township, Watertown with Rev. Bill Kirmsse officiating; visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church; interment church cemetery.
Grace was born on Aug. 31, 1916 in Watertown, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Anna (Singley) Smith. She was baptized on Sept. 24, 1916 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, Twp. by Rev. George Sebald and confirmed on March 29, 1931 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown Twp. by Rev. Karl Rudolph. On Aug. 2, 1942, Grace was united in marriage to Verner Holmberg at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, Twp. by Rev. Karl Rudolph.
Preceded in death by her husband, Verner Holmberg; parents, Charles and Anna Smith; sister, Dorothy Oestreich
Grace is survived by her many friends.
Casket Bearers are Tim Koehler, Melvin Giese, Gary Schmidt, Kenneth Schmidt, David Hilk, Ken Dressel.
