Paul R. Montoya Hatfield
Paul R. Montoya Hatfield, age 54, of Waconia, passed away Monday March 18, 2013 at his residence.
Gathering of family and friends took place on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
A gathering of family and friends also took place on Tuesday, March 26 from noon until 2: p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Service (7601 Wyoming Blvd. N.E.) in Albuquerque, N.M.
Paul was born on Dec. 1, 1958 in Albuquerque, N.M., the son of Rudolfo and Dolores ce de Baca Montoya.
Paul graduated from the University of New Mexico and went on to attend law school at Arizona State University. He ran a successful law practice for 25 years. Some of his enjoyments were boating, developing land and building renovations. Paul most treasured spending time with his daughters, girlfriend, family and many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother Dolores.
Paul is survived by his loving family, daughters Kate and Dana Hatfield of Waconia; Lynn Hatfield of Waconia; father Rudy Montoya of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Anne Montoya of Albuquerque, N.M., sister Corrine Montoya; nieces and nephews Jace and Joplin Montoya; Teresa, Kristy, Drew and Camille Hatfield; girlfriend Joyce Block of Minnetonka; Joyce’s children Joe and Lindsay Block, Stephanie and Pete Stiles, Heather Block, Zach Block.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Operation Smile, Dollars for Scholars or donors choice.
