Father, Friend, Woodsman and Engineer

On November 20, 2014 we lost a great thinker and compassionate friend. Rex possessed numerous talents including an ability to recall, with great detail, almost any event or person’s name. This made him a story teller extraordinaire. Rex spent his entire life in Mound, except for a brief stint in the Navy, and his knowledge of the history of the area was unique. His mapping, engineering and general friendship have left an indelible mark. He will be greatly missed by so many friends and family.
A memorial service celebrating his life, accomplishments and devotion to this area will be held at the Gillespie Center in Mound on January 24th from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
